 Representing individuals and businesses in a broad range of legal matters, Brian L. Oliner practices primarily in the DARS Civil Litigation and Taxation Groups. Brian's legal expertise often focuses on settling business and real estate disputes, tax disputes, and offers and compromise. With a comprehensive background in tax law, Brian is an active member of the Litigation and Taxation Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association, has lectured and taught tax related classes, and previously operated his own tax consulting business. In addition to his nearly two decades as a litigator, he is active in the community, serving as a director, officer and active member of several non-profit, charitable organizations addressing the needs of children. Prior to joining the firm, Brian was an Assistant Attorney General representing the Maryland Comptroller of the Treasury. Since graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1985, Brian has also served as an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City, counsel to the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, and was in private practice in Prince George's County, Maryland. He is admitted to the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for Maryland and for the District of Columbia.
