Verena Meiser
Verena Meiser brings a wealth of experience to the estate planning, probate and trust administration group. Previously, as a solo law practitioner in Tennessee, Verena provided legal representation to clients in estate planning, probate, and real estate matters, advised several non-profit organizations through the process of attaining tax exempt status, provided mediation services, and served as Guardian-ad-Litem for juveniles. True to her civic-minded approach to practicing law, Verena also partnered with the Knoxville Leadership Foundation to represent faith-based non-profit clients. In addition, Verena was a member of the Knoxville Estate Planning Council and the Tennessee Valley Mediation Association. For several years, Verena conducted research on trust law as assistant to the Successor Author of Bogert & Hess, The Law of Trusts and Trustees. Verena was educated at several distinctive universities, receiving a Bachelors degree from Bryn Mawr College, Masters degrees from both Vanderbilt University and the Claremont Graduate School as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee. She is fluent in German and Spanish, has a good command of French and enjoys the study of Turkish and Arabic. Verena is admitted to the Maryland and Tennessee Bar Associations.
